Thank you
We’re glad you’re interested in volunteering for Village Neighbors and signing up is easy.

There are lots of ways to help our members from giving rides, making a meal or check-in call, stacking wood, even getting a printer to cooperate.  Each volunteer chooses what they want to offer to help with and then responds to requests for services when they can.

*Know too there are also ways to help with the actual functioning of our organization, volunteering does not need to be direct services to members.

What we do

As an all-volunteer aging in place organization, we make a difference in the lives of our members by providing services that members need to remain independent at home. We are creating connections, friendships and becoming true neighbors.

Becoming a volunteer
To join us, please call or email your contact information. A volunteer intake coordinator will respond to help you join. To become a volunteer, you will need to:

  1. Call Village Neighbors at 413 345-6894 or email volunteers@villageneighbors.org with your info.

  2. Attend a group or individual volunteer orientation. When meeting with a volunteer coordinator, you’ll learn about VN, fill out an application, and give permission for a background check. (Members do one too!) If you plan to transport members, we’ll need a copy of your license and insurance coverage page. You’ll also need to provide two references. After references and your CORI are checked, you will be a new Village Neighbors volunteer and we are grateful.
